Let’s get festive and fit for a good cause. Friday 10th November the Women in Business turn into Women in Fitness for 1 hour of exercise, socializing and fund raising. Come and try an innovative workout experience without the hassle of traditional exercise. By merging fitness, culture and socializing the London Fitness Tour is revolutionizing the way people stay fit in London by stimulating the mind before the body with a one-of-a-kind workout experience.  


The Bloomsbury Fitness Tour for WIBN is organized in partnership with Bloodwise, the UK’s specialist blood cancer charity, funding life-saving research and support services for patients and their families. With just £10, Bloodwise could pay for 50 patient information booklets to be sent to a hospital, where they could be given to patients by their healthcare team as soon as they’re diagnosed – so they have support from day one. We can all contribute to the fight against blood cancer, so let’s get together and do it!

The Bloosmbury Fitness Tour will dive you into the intellectual and literary capital of London. Have you ever thought of exercising where Karl Marx created communism, Virginia Woolf defined the twentieth century British novel and Charles Darwin first conceived the theory of natural selection? Well, now you can! Get ready to reshape both the upper and lower body whilst discovering Bloosmbury’s past and present culture, music and nature. Mahatma Ghandi, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Virginia Wolf, Karl Marx and Charles Darwin are just a few of the names that have made this area so culturally influential.  


The workout is a combination of power walking and exercises that use all elements of the city to train the whole body. Let’s start getting in shape for Christmas! Don’t worry, no running is involved and all fitness levels are welcome and will benefit from it. We will be meeting at 12:15 at Truckles of Pied Yard, Bury Place in Holborn.  Our fitness guide, Savio Los, will give a brief 5 minutes intro and we will then power walk through Bloosmbury’s most iconic places and hidden gems, whilst doing a series of exercises for the whole body. The tour will end back at Bury Place where you are welcome to stay for a warm drink and to get to know more about Bloodwise and how to get involved. Come dressed comfortably with gym shoes, anorack and water. You can get changed at Bury place.

This is your chance to switch off, explore London, laugh and be active...whilst contributing to a great cause, don’t miss out!

I wanted to join this fitness session as part of the proceeds were going to Bloodwise which meant a 5 hour round trip for 45 minutes exercise. Is she mad I hear you ask? Possibly but it was well worth the arranging, costs and time. It was absolutely excellent. I felt energised, exercised and invigorated. Savio is engaging and has the session balanced just right between fitness and delivering the interesting information about the area. It was well researched and fun, the other people on the course were equally impressed and enamoured with the session. This was the first one for me but not the last!
