About our Brick Lane and Shoreditch Street Art Tour
A must for anyone who loves street art, this is not your classic Shoreditch guided tour as it goes above and beyond the main Brick Lane graffiti that most people see in the area and make you embark on a truly unique Shoreditch walking tour.
Get ready to venture into hidden alleys, quirky gardens, local markets whilst enjoying the best music that has been produced in the area. Extremely popular with artists, designers, creatives and hipsters Shoreditch has turned from a deprived area back in the '8Os to one of London’s coolest neighbourhoods. Filled with trendy eateries, vintage markets, pop-up shops and the biggest display of street art you can see in Central London, Shoreditch combines the old and the new in a very unique way.
Much more than just a Banksy London walking tour. Come and discover some of London’s best street art for 2 hours of fun and exploring. Learn where to find some of the few remaining Banksy art pieces in London and see many more exciting artists. From some of Jimmy C’s masterpieces, to Dreph’s depiction of London’s unsung people and communities, to Mr Cenz funky portraits, to many more incredible artists. This tour shows you both Brick Lane’s street art, as well as some graffiti, stickers and murals in other secluded alleys and hidden corners that you could hardly find by yourself.
Get ready to walk amongst an intricate open air art gallery, one that constantly changes and evolves to give voice to the creativity and ideas of artists from all over the world. See where young artists practice their technique and watch out as you might be lucky enough to spot some artists in action too.
LIFE IN SHOREDITCH
Slick city bars next to pop-up street food stalls; Michelin-starred restaurants just minutes from the UK’s curry capital; elegant Victorian terraces shadowed by epic modern skyscrapers. Shoreditch is the area of juxtapositions, full of history as well as buzzing with life.
Learn about how the Huguenots started the fashion and textile industry in Shoreditch in the 17th century after being persecuted and escaping from France. Hear stories about all the diverse communities that lived in the area from the Jewish, who escaped from Eastern Europe, to the current Bangladeshi community. From Georgian to Victorian to modern skyscrapers, we will explore Shoreditch’s past and present also through its diverse architecture.
Get ready to discover Shoreditch to the rhythm of “Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner”, to “Welcome back to Happiness” all the way to one of R.E.M.’s most famous tracks that was shot in Brick Lane or one of Robbie William’s best hits shot in Spitalfield. See where Jamiroquai’s produced his first album, and hear about how Acid Jazz came about in Shoreditch. So get ready for some great music and many interesting music anecdotes. Just WOW! I absolutely loved my tour around the Shoreditch area. It was so stimulating that I didn't want it to end. I would have missed so much street art if I'd done this independently. Savio definitely isn't your average tour guide. I'm off to book my next unexpected London to Brixton, now I've cought the bug.
